New and Improved Website
Dec. 17th, 2008 08:41 pmThe wonderfully talented Nickie, pannkakan, has totally revamped my website, and it looks amazing! She's not only given it a face lift, but she added all my stories and organized everything so beautifully. I'm so stoked!

I've had an eventful month so far. It never fails that as the holidays approach, my time seems to disappear. I don't know where it goes, but one second it's there and then poof...gone, bye bye.

For now, I'm taking over the day-to-day operation of BJFic.net for Cael. I want to apologize upfront for my lack of technical skills, but I do have some friends who are attempting to beat the knowledge I need into my brain; however, until I learn how to do things the easy way, I'll have to rely on doing things the only way I know how. I don't mean to put any extra work on the authors, so I hope you guys will bear with me until I learn the ropes.
There was a huge list of stories to be validated, and I've went through them all. You may want to check your junk mail as I've been told the emails sent from BJFic.net wind up in the junk mail. I sent out emails explaining what was wrong and asking for the problem to be fixed before resubmitting. I hope you guys don't take offense because I didn't write a whole lot on the emails, just what was wrong...if you'd seen the list I was dealing with you'd understand.
If you have any complaints, concerns, or questions dealing with the site please email me at bjfiction@gmail.com. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints about my stories or if you just want to gab, then use my personal email. I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't bombard my personal email with site business.
If you submit a story and it isn't validated within 24 hours, please email me at bjfiction@gmail.com and let me know. I will try to validate at least once a day, more often if I have the opportunity, but just in case...give me a little reminder. If you posted a story that still hasn't been put up on the site, it's been deleted. There must have been a problem with the formatting or something, so take a look at your story again and resubmit. If you continue to have problems with getting your stories validated, and you haven't received an email from the site, then something is wrong with the email system there, so email the bjfiction email and let me know and we'll figure it out together.

Jun. 2nd, 2008 03:25 amTo members of TQL, I’m sure you have noticed that you can’t access the forum at the moment. After a little research, it was found that all of InvisionFree is down. When the server was upgraded, the settings changed, and the address of the forum's domain is no longer correct. This is only a temporary issue and should be resolved soon. So don’t panic; this glitch will be dealt with quickly.

Idea for New Community
Apr. 7th, 2008 09:12 pmAs you all know, I've been working with a couple of friends attempting to improve my writing. While I love QaF, Brian and Justin, the main reason I write is because I love it. I also enjoy learning and improving, which I believe is a main factor in everyone's journey. So, I started thinking that maybe other authors would enjoy sharing ideas and learning from one another in a safe environment. I know how busy everyone is and this wouldn't be a community expecting you to write stories or anything. Each week we would put up a problem or issue that we all share in writing, and then everyone could comment with ideas and a short example. Of course, you could discuss the issue as much as you want as long as you remember that this is a learning experience and not a forum for openly flaming. I think I've proven that a community can be flame free while having many diverse opinions, types of fiction, and ideas...qaf_cordial is a perfect example. I'd like to know if this is something that you guys would be interested in giving a try. It will only work if you're willing to participate both with ideas and constructive criticisms.

For those of you in my f-list who haven't heard of JD Carson, let me be the first to tell you a bit about his writing. I am, after all, his self-appointed, personal ego cuddler. Cookie adrtylilsecret found his work and told me about it, and I'm so very glad he shared this information. I was totally blown away by Mr. Carson's talent. (Keep in mind that as his employee, I call him Mr. Carson...it's an inside joke between the boss and I...not to mention I'm a bit of a brat as those of you who know me best are already aware of) Earlier today, I was pulled into Mr. Carson's office (IM chat) where he explained to me that I wasn't required to call him Mr. Carson and he didn't expect me to be on the job 24/7. Well, I think he's a completely *cough* stand-up guy, and seems more than capable of *cough* rising to the occasional bitch fest. (He'd have to have an exceptional sense of humor to put up with me, right?) While he hasn't written a story based on QaF, yet, and believe me...I'll eventually get around to begging discussing this possibility with him, the story he's working on is beyond amazing. His work may not be to everyone's taste, but if you enjoy an exceptionally well-written story that actually has a structure and a plot, I think you'll love his work as much as I do. Check out his LJ dear_carson. You can read the first three chapters of his story, The One With Submission and Need, without having to be friended, but I'm sure if you read it, you'll want to be added to his f-list. I have a friend who gave me this website. You all know what a techtard I am, so I don't understand exactly how it works, but everytime someone clicks on the link it helps out breast cancer research. So, if you would all take a moment and check out the site, I'd be grateful. I really appreciate all the help.

in more ways than one let me tell you. I have this wonderfully amazing friend, who took the time not only to create me a layout for my LJ, but took the time to install it on my computer...cause I'm a freaking techtard. I thanked her profusely and of course gave her credit on my profile page, but I forgot to publicly claim how totally awesome she is! Now, not only did I forget to praise her properly, but I go and get the brilliant idea that I want those nifty cool B/J emotion thingies on my computer. Yes, me! So what happens...my wonderful LJ layout that she made and installed went bye bye! POOF! Gone! I was almost in tears. So, I get on the IM and I call her up and she comes in and fixes my LJ layout...AGAIN and makes sure my emotion thingies are working properly. So, I just want to say that she's like the most AWESOME person in the world and I kneel and worship at her feet. I love you, Sam!
