Emily hsbfc showed me a clip of a German show called Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). I was immediately hooked on the Oliver/Christian story line. You can watch the clips on Youtube where they've been translated to English if you're interested.

ollian_is_liebe is a new community dedicated to Oliver and Christian. So, for those of you who know what I'm talking about, you might want to give this community a try.

Christian, Oliver and Judith are roommates. Oliver is openly gay and seems to have a good handle on his sexuality. Christian is a closet case because he's afraid of losing his brother's love/respect. They have sex and Christian acts like nothing happened, but he can't stop thinking about Oliver. Anyway, they finally get together. Chris wants to be a boxer, but finds out that "fags" aren't really going to get a shot in that profession, so when he's finally ready to come out, Oliver won't let him. At the moment, their relationship is going really well, but I'm sure there is angst around the corner...isn't there always? This is just a very brief summary of all the ups and downs of their relationship, but I was amazed at how they handle the sexual aspect of the relationship. They show more than any other television show with the exception of Queer as Folk...at least to my knowledge.

Maybe she's living there now but, be honest, how long is she going
to able to stand them running around without clothes, smoking dope,
and all that stuff with their other queer friends? Is she even queer?
Any tendencies that you know of?

ROFL. First of all, she's living every straight woman's dream and she's been there through it all, so I figure she'll stick it out. Since Christian isn't "out" they don't have friends over unless it's close friends who are "in the know." I don't know what channel as this is a German show, so I watch it on Youtube...it has to be translated to English. Sure you can have all the hugs you want.

Thanks for making this post, Rena. I had noticed YouTube vids of Christian and Ollie, but I hadn't really paid much attention. Since your post, I've subscribed to the vidder who uploads clips with English subtitles. They are a handsome and intriguing couple.

I don't know if I will get involved with fandom as I can't keep up with what I read online now, but I sure do enjoy the vids, and I thank you again for posting.

I'm not exactly sure if I'm in the fandom myself. I'm not writing or reading any fics, but I like the pictures and updates about future episodes. They're really a cute couple.
