Criticism or Harrassment?

I realize that compared to most people in this fandom, I'm extremely new. However, I figure I'm just as entitled to have an opinion as anyone else. So, let me place this warning. If you don't want to read my ranting that's fine, but if you do read it, take in to consideration that it is an opinion. I don't tell you what to think, so please don't try to tell me. Thanks.
I have a friend and her name is Nicky. She is the author of Kiss Me Alright. I won't discuss her personal business because that's not for me to tell. However, I do want to say that it's a real shame that some people choose to overlook a clearly stated warning, and then complain about what they have read. I personally love the fic. I don't expect everyone to like it and neither does she, but she is a bit tired of being told to stop posting her fic because it's some horrific thing. As a matter of fact, she told me today that she wasn't sure she was going to post any more of the fic. I know how hard it's been on her and I've tried to keep her spirits up by pointing out that there were loads of people who enjoyed her fic. I'm not sure I was successful in talking her into continuing with the story or not, I hope I was.
OKay, now to my rantings. If you see a fic with a clear warning about something, and you don't think you want to read...well just don't read it. If you do choose to read it, don't blame the author if you didn't like what you read. I also have a major problem with people telling her to stop posting. If it's their website and they don't want her to post on it...fine. I just don't think they have the right to try and dictate otherwise. Personally, I think her story is a very true to life look at a possible relationship between an autisitc person and a person who isn't mentally challenged. Whether you want to hear it or not...it does happen in RL people. So, if you want to read a truly amazing story written by an even more amazing person, then give Kiss Me Alright a chance. If however, you feel that isn't your cup of tea, just don't read it. Either way, please don't harrass the author. If you have some constructive criticisms, I'm sure she'd love to hear it, otherwise, just remember you were warned before you started to read.
Thanks for listening to my rantings. For those of you who love Nicky's fic, I'd suggest now would be the time to show her some support before we lose a really great fic.
